Max Landsberg

Max Landsberg is a leadership expert, adventure travel enthusiast and award-winning author. He is a member of the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild. His other outdoor books include The Call of the Mountains – an account of his completion of the Munros of Scotland – and a guidebook to The Ridgeway. With co-author Jacquetta Megarry he won the OWPG 2016 Award for Excellence for their guidebook Trek to Everest.

He has trekked on six continents, including through the Himalaya of Nepal, around Mount Kailash in Tibet, and across sections of the US through the National Parks from Canada to Mexico. He has also trekked and camped Scotland’s Cape Wrath Trail, Corsica’s GR20, Switzerland’s Alpine Pass Route, Pakistan’s Karakoram Glacier and Patagonia’s “W” circuit. He has climbed Morocco’s Mount Toubkal and skied 100 kilometres of Sweden’s Arctic Kungsleden in winter before returning to Switzerland for the Tour du Mont Blanc. He has also wild-camped the Thames Path by canoe.

Max tries to share his passion for Scotland’s hills through books, magazine articles and talks to schools. His parallel career has focused on helping people develop and lead well; he has also written three best-selling management books on leadership, coaching and motivation.
