more pages (74 pp) but still weighs only 212 grams (7 ounces).
Revisiting parts of the Rob Roy Way to update our guidebook
has been interesting in the recent heavy snowfall. The wonderful Scots
pine in this pic is the sole survivor of a pair that were landmarks
south of Pitlochry. Experience of navigating pathless moorland under
snow led us to add map clips and more detail, and distances have been
remeasured throughout. Download the new pages Aberfeldy to Pitlochry. The book is at print: pre-order here. Read what Guardian Travel thought of the route.
What do Scotland and California have in common? They both celebrate
John Muir Day – this year on his birthday 180 years ago! There's info
about the US here. In Scotland the John Muir Trust offers resources here, and there's also the John Muir Way.
