We are delighted to announce our first Welsh guidebook, the Snowdonia Slate Trail.
Author Aled Owen explores the heritage of the slate industry and its
villages, as well as various ascent routes up Snowdon, in an
83-mile circuit through the inspiring scenery of Snowdonia. Railway fans
will enjoy the Great Little Trains of Wales:
click to view a PDF of those pages. With 95 photos and large-scale
mapping, this guidebook is visually rich, as well as rainproof!
After the route was extended to 100 miles and its terminus moved to Machrihanish, we needed a completely new edition.
We've gone for larger-scale mapping in our new format. Coauthor Sandra
Bardwell made several trips to Kintyre in late 2017 to check out the
latest route changes. Look inside the new edition here. It will cost £12.99 and is out in mid-March. You can preorder it now, or ask to be emailed on its release.
Next to come in 2018
Updates which are on their way include a new printing of our Rob Roy
Way and a new edition of the Wainwright Coast to Coast. Both of these
are currently out of stock, sorry, but watch this space.
If you have any routes that you would like us to consider for a future guidebook, please contact us.
