Follow the oldest path in Britain along the ridge through the North
Wessex Downs and Chilterns. Starting from the largest stone circle in
the world at Avebury, author Max Landsberg guides you past ancient White
Horses, barrows and forts. Our new guidebook is aimed at cyclists as
well as walkers, and good reviews have already started to trickle in.
Please visit our Ridgeway page, or go straight to sample pages,
gallery reviews and our online route map.
I've just started hiking the Fife Coastal Path and, together with
coauthor Sandra Bardwell, we will complete the task before March 31. Our
new guidebook to this splendid route will be out by June, and you can
request an "email me" notification of its publication here.
We have licensed the excellent, easy-to-follow Footprint map of the
route, so 16 pages of mapping (at better than 1:50,000) will be included
in a single, rainproof package. And unlike existing guidebooks
that covers only 69 of the 117 miles, our book starts at Kincardine and
ends at Newburgh.
The Kintyre Way has just been extended to 100 miles/161 km, come longer
and its southern sections have changed radically. Please visit this page for more detail.
I hope this newsletter doesn't seem too parochially British in scope:
in our next one, we announce an exciting new title for Nepal.
