Our Cleveland Way guidebook has been recognised as "a testament to
excellent research, writing and photography" by its Trail Manager and
praised also by Bill Mitchell, the founding father of outdoor
journalism. It has huge appeal to walkers as two trails in one – North
York Moors and heritage coastline. Find out more here. Better still, try the hike: I found it a revelation.

Cateran Trail route map
We have been working steadily on our route maps, the latest addition
being the Cateran Trail, a 64-mile walk that starts and ends in
Blairgowrie, Perthshire. Page 39 of our guidebook
explains the background of Diarmid's Tomb near Spittal of Glenshee
(Arthurian legend and Wagneria myth). Both Ordnance Survey and Footprint
maps get its location wrong, so ours is currently the only map that
shows it correctly. You can verify this by zooming the Google map all
the way until you can count the four stones that also appear in our
photograph on page 38!
