Wester Ross Trail

I understand this is a circular route but can find very little info about it. Can anyone help please?

Nosey as ever and always interested in walks in Scotland, tried a few searches on t'internet and came across the 'Wester Ross Coastal Walk' and indeed as you say is a circular walk. First time I'd heard of it but there appears to be a decent web site at www.celticfringe.org.uk/activities.htm Scroll down to the walk break-down as well as accommodation etc. I'm sure that the Celtic Fringe on their contact numbers/e-mail etc will be able to help further.

 I had seen this but the info is very limited. I just wondered if there was any more info available. I have looked at a number of web sites which I thought may be relevant or provide a link but no luck. However I am in that neck of the woods in a copule of weeks and will see if there is any local info available.

I have done a little more research on this.
Firstly the "Trail" is a description of a road route. However there is a walking route named the "Easter Ross Route." Having done a little more research, including asking the Celtic Fringe and the tourist office in Gairloch, I can only find a general description:

"This is a circular walk on roads and good paths, with accommodation available at some point on each stage (best to book in advance during the height of the tourist season).

Gairloch to Redpoint
Redpoint to Diabaig
Diabaig to Torridon
Torridon to Coulags (Strath Carron)
Coulags to Kinlochewe (via Coulin)
Kinlochewe to Poolewe
Poolewe to Rubha Reidh
Rubha Reidh to Gairloch "

I have been unable to uncover any further info. Having looked at the map this looks like a fairly arduous walk in parts (for me at any rate), but given reasonable weather could be very rewarding. Someday, hopefully. It's now on the "walks to be considered list".

My friend and i are still working on this with a view to perhaps doing it next year. I have gleaned a little more info from Celtic Fringe who are very friendly and helpful. I have suggested it may be in their interest (their aim is to attract visitors to this part of wester Ross) to produce a leaflet on the Traill. Here is the further detail I have. You will see the "circuit" is not complete but doesn't need much work to do so.

No I haven't done it yet nor found out any more info. It's on the back burner for now as we are walking the Cumbrian Way this year. Still have it in my sights tho'. It looks a great walk. Don't know if Celtic Fringe have provided any more info either http://www.celticfringe.org.uk/.
