“In loving memory of Bill Lobban, died 23rd November 1975. He made the supreme sacrifice in saving the life of a friend”

"In loving memory of Ian Harrington 38 yrs Paul Harrington 14 yrs"

Both memorials are close to Inversnaid Hotel, Ian and Paul just behind the hotel as you arrive from South.

I did try Google, but can't find anything. Would anyone care to share their stories?

I just got a short answer from Inversnaid Hotel:

Sorry for replying this much later, but our mailing server did not respond for almost a week.
We are really glad that you have enjoyed refreshing in our hotel. Unfortunetaly, we do not know anything about Bill Lobban, but the wee "memorial grave" that stands for Ian and Paul Harrington is there, because they had an accident on the other side of the loch. They were heading to this place as they liked to go for walks on this side, so the "memorial grave" was placed near us as well. We hope to see you soon for an other adventure on the WHW.
