I'm commenting on the posts on the
West Highland Way
board about midges and the use of "Skin so Soft". What are the opinions on Repel, which is lemon eucalyptus based? I have used it in the States and it is effective on mosquitoes, black flies and ticks. We were once hit with clouds of gnats at an outdoor dinner in S.C., the only effective thing was drench ourselves with Cutters, or other DEET-based repellent.
So DEET or Repel? (I would rather use Repel!)
