Thanks to Janis Harper for this update.  Apparently the shop at Acharn has been closed for some time.  Sadly, also, the Ardeonaig Hotel was repossessed by the bank (8 October 2010) so no longer serves food.

So it's important to take your own supplies along Loch Tay-side.

Postscript May 2012: the Ardeonaig Hotel reopened in September 2011 under new management (Adamo) and I can tell you from personal experience that it serves exceptionally fine food in the evenings. Although closed Mondays/Tuesdays in winter, it is certainly worth checking out: tel 01567 820 400.
