"It is full of great photos, maps and all the information you could need" - Irish Mountain Log

The Causeway Coast has been the stage for many scenes of Game of Thrones® and this scenic route visits many famous GoT film locations. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Giant’s Causeway is the jewel in Antrim’s crown, and its amazing geology is best enjoyed on foot. The Causeway Coast Way offers 32 miles (51 km) of waymarked, easy-going walking with welcoming B&Bs and pubs at strategic intervals.

It combines well with a trip to the wildlife haven of Rathlin Island, and with the more challenging 26-mile (42-km) Moyle Way. All three options join up at Ballycastle, and the book describes in detail walks that people will complete comfortably within 4 to 7 days. This new edition is lavishly illustrated, with 85 colour photos and 17 pages carrying detailed route mapping (at 1:35,000).

This book is in our pocket-friendly format, with perfect binding instead of concealed wiro. We have just (31.1.24) gone out of stock but more is on the way, so please enter your email at the top of this page if you’d like to know when it has arrived, we hope and expect well before the end of February.

Irish Mountain Log review of 2nd ed

There are excellent photos and maps for each of the routes, along with detailed step-by-step instructions – hardly needed on the Causeway Coast Way but helpful for the poorly signposted Moyle Way … There is also detailed and up-to-date information on everything from wildlife, accommodation, transport and the geology of the Giant’s Causway, through to local history and locations from the ubiquitous Game of Thrones. … perfect for anyone seeking a comprehensive guide to the area.

James Butler, IML Winter 2020 p 62

From an online review

This guide is great. Very detailed and easy to understand for a novice hiker like myself, full of useful pics and advice.

Excerpt from Irish Mountain Log review

Beautifully designed, spiral-bound and roadmap-sized, it is full of great photos, maps and all the information you could need. … Let’s hope that [Eoin Reilly] is kept busy producing guides to this standard for other heritage trails.

The striking front cover alone is enough to whet one’s appetite for a visit, and browsing through the many fine photos inside only reinforces what a highly scenic coastline this is. As with all Rucksack Reader guidebooks, the format is designed to be very user/walker-friendly, with easy to follow step-by-step instructions, plus practical and background info. As well as the Causeway Coast Way, the Moyle Way is also covered, and there is a feature on Rathlin Island, which sounds very appealing. Maps are included for all three.
